History

20.3.1927 - Mr. František Fořt received a building permit for the construction of a joiner’s shop.

1935 - Modernization of the operation – log-cutting equipment was installed and a timber dryer was built.

1938 - 1940 - A new hall was added to the existing facilities; the manufacture of popular formed furniture, in particular beech kitchen chairs, was started.

1950 - The business was taken over by the District Wood Works (later Hikor Písek).

1960 - 1970 - The log cutting operation and formed furniture manufacturing were discontinued and replaced with the production of upholstered seating furniture.

1985 - 1990 - Extensive reconstruction of the mill; construction of a dimensioning department and a new two-storey production plant.

1992 - Privatisation by PF NÁBYTEK (“PF FURNITURE”), the manufacture of upholstered seating furniture tailor-made to market requirements.

2003 - First protected industrial design for a sofa bed unfolding system.

2004 - Expansion to Slovakia, establishment of a stable sales network – see Dealers.
